Greennotgrey

At Giardina 2017, JardinSuisse, the Association of Swiss Gardners, presents an urban piazza that demonstrates how public spaces can become recreation areas and capture an authentic garden feel. While the planning and site management for the “greennotgrey” garden is provided by Lustenberger Schelling Landscape Architecture, the garden itself is created by the apprentices of the Aargau chapter of JardinSuisse.

Where else, if not here…

At Giardina 2017, garden designers Egli Grün from eastern Switzerland welcome visitors to their life garden, the focal point of which is a rock transported to Giardina straight from the Gneiss quarry in the Val Calanca (GR). A unique barbecue and cooking pit, it forms the heart of the show garden. If anyone falls in love with this one-of-a-kind piece of craftsmanship, they can purchase it on the spot.

Here and now

Under the theme of “Here and now”, Spross will create a haven in the midst of a sensual world of experience. Enveloped in a mystical backdrop of transparent strips of cloth, the stand will enable visitors to explore nature’s charms and go on a journey of discovery. Spross has taken a conscious decision to reduce its display to a natural and delicate interplay of trees, water, stone, light and sound in order to depict the overriding theme of Giardina 2017, New Naturalness.
