Show Garden Giardina 2026

Oak Magic – A Garden for the Future

Oak Magic is a quiet counterpoint to the hustle and bustle of the trade fair: a carefully composed garden of future-ready oaks, handcrafted outdoor kitchen, and a warm retreat. A place for enjoyment, connection, and the vision of a slower, outdoor way of life.

Where Calm Finds Space

Amid the excitement of the garden fair, a quiet space opens up: Oak Magic – a garden that slows down time. This small, meticulously designed show garden combines elements of modern outdoor living with the feeling of a retreat, where nature, enjoyment, and architecture exist in harmony.

At the heart of the garden is an outdoor kitchen, designed and handcrafted on-site. Here, function and form merge into a space for togetherness – under the open sky, with friends, with fire, with flavor.

Warmth as a Retreat

Right next to it stands a sauna by Laubenhütte – more than just a place to sweat. It is a retreat, a space of silence, evening light. A warm wooden room that conveys a sense of security – open for encounters, yet also a place to be completely alone.

A modern, small wooden building with large windows and flat roofs sits on a spacious wooden deck, surrounded by gravel, plants, and trees. A tall hedge lines the background under a partly cloudy sky.

Stability in Change

The dark clinker paving gives the garden depth and tranquility. Among it grow future-ready oaks: Quercus suber, Quercus bivoniana, and Quercus glauca. They symbolically represent both permanence and change – trees that can withstand climatic challenges while radiating timeless strength.

Three vertically arranged photos show: left, shiny green, lance-shaped leaves; center, close-up of a tree bark with rough texture and moss; right, narrow, silvery-green leaves on a young tree in a tree nursery.

Fragrance as a Gentle Frame

A free-form hedge of Phillyrea angustifolia creates a soft boundary to the outside world. It frames the scene without restricting it. Rosmarinus prostratus carpets the ground with a fragrant touch – a subtle scent that rises in the evening sun.

In the evening, the garden becomes a stage for quiet conversations, for shared meals under the oaks. For moments that linger – because they are genuine. Oak Magic is not a show garden in the traditional sense. It is a glimpse into the future. An attitude. An invitation to rethink life outdoors.
