Nature accessible to all – barrier-free through the treetops

The Neckertal treetop walk was designed to make the forest accessible to everyone. High above the treetops, it offers a nature experience that promotes tranquillity, new perspectives and shared exploration.

Experience nature, find peace and gain new perspectives. For many people, this is not a matter of course. From the outset, the Neckertal treetop walk was designed with the aim of making the forest accessible to everyone – regardless of age, mobility or individual needs.

High above the forest floor, a 500-metre-long, level and barrier-free walkway leads through the treetops of the Neckertal valley. The path itself is designed without any inclines. The few steps at the beginning can be overcome with a wheelchair lift if necessary.

It is not just about accessibility in the technical sense, but about participation. Those who experience the forest at eye level with the treetops feel the peace, vastness and special atmosphere of this habitat. Along the path, numerous learning and experience stations invite visitors to consciously perceive the forest and learn more about nature, animals and ecological relationships.

The treetop walk is designed so that generations can enjoy it together. Grandparents, parents and children can experience the forest together, share their impressions and discover new things. Accessibility here means that shared experiences become a natural part of the experience.

As an excursion destination, the Neckertal treetop walk combines nature experience, knowledge transfer and inclusion in a natural way. It shows that sustainable nature experiences are particularly valuable when they are open to everyone. A place where the forest can be experienced by all – quietly, respectfully and without barriers.
