The Origin of the Form

Every sculptural piece begins with structure.

ETNA DESIGN developed the original mold geometries that defined the visual and architectural language of basalt fiber outdoor furniture.

These forms were engineered in-house - not adapted from existing trends. Geometry, proportion, curvature, and load distribution were developed from first principles, combining material knowledge with structural precision.

The result was not just a product, but a foundation that many later followed.

"Authentic. Engineered. Original."

A Complete Sculptural Collection

What began as material and form innovation has evolved into a cohesive sculptural collection. Each piece shares the same mineral identity and structural clarity, while serving distinct spatial functions. The collection is designed to stand independently, or to function together as a unified architectural environment. From intimate terraces to large-scale outdoor installations, the range offers versatility without compromising coherence.

Below is an overview of our product categories:

Hanging Loungers

Our exclusive line of Hanging Loungers is crafted for both comfort and architectural presence. Magma Den and Rock King offer a more expansive, luxurious lounging experience, while The Egg, Lava Moon, Kino, and Apple provide compact, intimate forms designed for relaxed retreat.

These sculptural pieces adapt effortlessly to a variety of environments - suspended by a poolside, placed on a spacious balcony, integrated into a garden setting, or even installed indoors to create a distinctive architectural feature.

For hospitality and commercial spaces, they become statement seating - ideal for cafés, lounges, terraces, and outdoor venues seeking a memorable and elevated atmosphere.

Three stylish outdoor hanging egg chairs, each with a woven black frame and plush cushion, are displayed in modern patio and balcony settings with natural and scenic backgrounds.

Chairs & Sofas

Our seating collection balances structural strength with organic geometry.

The Buddha Chair introduces a bold, enveloping silhouette. Inferno extends into elongated comfort with sculptural fluidity. The modular Cozy Coal system offers flexible configurations - straight segments, corner elements, and armrest modules - enabling tailored compositions for both residential and hospitality environments. And in collaboration with Luciano SRL, drawing on over 70 years of metal craftsmanship, we developed the refined Flynn Base and Flynn High seating pieces - combining precision-engineered metal structures with basalt fiber forms.

Each piece transforms seating into architectural expression.

Panels

Etna Design Panels extend our basalt fiber technology into versatile architectural elements for both indoor and outdoor applications. They function as fencing, stair railings, terrace wall enhancements, decorative gates, privacy screens, garden statements, or feature walls. Indoors, they become room dividers, headboard alternatives, dramatic ceiling panels, or creative backdrops for living spaces and offices.

From landscape integration to event design - the possibilities are expansive.

Tables

Etna Design tables Grid and Echo holds the woven basalt language of our seating pieces. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Hanging Loungers, Chairs, and Sofas, they create cohesive spatial compositions. They can also be paired effortlessly with existing furniture, adding sculptural contrast and mineral texture to contemporary or natural environments.

Lamps

Our lamps Glitz and Glint bring sculptural light to interior and exterior spaces alike. Available as floor-standing pieces, suspended pendants, or compact tabletop versions, they function in gardens, terraces, living rooms, bedrooms, or hospitality environments. Whether placed beside a lounge chair or hung above a dining setting, they maintain the same structural identity while introducing atmosphere, warmth, and charming shadow play.

A triptych shows: modern outdoor pathway lights, a decorative spherical lamp on a desk, and a similar pendant lamp casting intricate shadows in a contemporary living room.

Your Vision. Engineered.

Innovation does not stop with the catalogue.

Clients are invited to participate in the design process - defining new silhouettes, custom dimensions, or project-specific colours. With extensive experience in mold development and basalt fiber engineering, ETNA DESIGN transforms individual concepts into structurally sound, buildable realities.
