Show gardens
Giardina's impressive exhibition gardens are the prestigious heart of the event. With great attention to detail and visionary ideas, Switzerland's finest horticulturists create magnificent horticultural works of art in the halls of Messe Zürich, ranging from compact 20 square metres to vast oases of over 400 square metres.
For around two weeks, they work with dedication to create a unique spring atmosphere on site that transports visitors into a world filled with colourful flowers, lush greenery and inspiring design ideas.
In the three categories – IDEENGARTEN, SHOWGARTEN and MASTERGARDEN – gardening enthusiasts will discover a fascinating variety of concepts. Whether for spacious gardens, intimate pergolas, comfortable terraces or stylishly furnished balconies, nature lovers will find valuable ideas here for creating their own green haven of peace.
Giardina Awards 2026 Winners
On 10 March 2026, the outstanding concepts were recognised and the winners officially announced. Discover the winners across the respective award categories below.
Best of Mastergarten | 200 m² and above
Every year, the master gardens measuring 200 m² and above inspire visitors with their size, attention to detail and creativity, transporting them to another world in the middle of the exhibition halls. The garden by Winkler Richard Naturgärten particularly impressed the jury at this year's Giardina and was awarded the GiardinaAWARD.
Best of Showgarten | 70 – 200 m²
The show gardens at Giardina offer plenty of space to turn creative ideas into reality and try out new design possibilities. This is where impressive design, well-thought-out concepts and perfect craftsmanship come together. In this category, the exhibition by SAGER Brunnen & Skulpturen AG impressed the jury and was awarded the GiardinaAWARD.
Best Of Ideengarten | 20 – 50 m²
The idea gardens prove that even small spaces can accommodate big gardening ideas. They showcase clever concepts and creative solutions for compact outdoor areas. The concept implementation by VEG and The City was particularly impressive here.
Best of Central Theme (The Tree)
With the central theme “The Tree – The Soul of the Garden,” Giardina 2026 placed the tree at the heart of the exhibition as the defining element of the garden. It symbolises rootedness, growth, and the close relationship between nature, design, and the future.
This award recognises the presentation that most successfully elevated the tree beyond its role as a design feature, giving it a powerful conceptual and emotional presence.
The jury awarded the Giardina AWARD in the new category “Best of Central Theme 2026” to Hoffmann Gartencenter AG.
STYLE Exhibits
The STYLE Exhibits are curated exhibition spaces showcasing the latest trends, innovative products, and exceptional services for outdoor living. Bringing together design, functionality, and forward-thinking ideas, they offer inspiration for everyone seeking something truly distinctive for the garden.
In the «STYLE | Over 40 m²» category, SCHNEIDER RAFFAELE impressed the jury with its brand Il Giardino die Corten and was honoured with the Giardina AWARD. The Giardina AWARD in the «STYLE | Up to 40 m²» category was presented to Brunnen Paradies GmbH for its outstanding exhibition concept.
