Show Garden Giardina 2026

Garden art with substance

For Giardina 2026, an exceptional garden is being created that brings together international garden design and Swiss craftsmanship. Designed by renowned British landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith and realised in close collaboration with NaturDesign AG and additional specialist partners.

The show garden invites visitors to rediscover the garden as a living, sensory space, featuring surprising plant compositions. At the heart of the design are characterful trees, regional natural stone and the element of water, complemented by sculptural planting.

NaturDesign AG plays a central role in the project. As the executing landscape construction company, it is responsible for the complete build, contributes to the selection of materials and implements the design with a high level of craftsmanship. The company sees itself as the link between design and reality, with the ambition of bringing Tom Stuart-Smith’s creative vision to life in an authentic and high-quality way.

The free, landscape-inspired composition conveys a sense of calm, permanence and deep connection to nature. Distinctive specimen trees from eastern Switzerland form the backbone of the garden, giving it depth and presence. These are complemented by a carefully curated selection of perennials and shrubs, harmoniously combining different textures and shades of green. The focus is on structure, longevity and botanical diversity. The planting is not intended to dominate, but to support, guide and calm the space – in keeping with a nature-inspired garden culture with lasting impact.
