We make jewelry from natural materials such as freshwater or saltwater pearls, paua shells, various types of wood, leftover materials from Schwyzerörgeli and accordion casings. Various pieces of jewelry made of gold-plated stainless steel are also available in our range.
Our story began with a special gift. Shortly before travelling to Australia, our founder Melina received a pair of earrings from her brother, made from leftoverparts of a repaired Swiss accordion (Schwyzerörgeli). This unique piece became the first inspiration.
During her travels through Australia, the idea was born to create jewelry from natural materials such as wood, shells, pearls and receyled instrument parts - combining sustainable materials with the relaxed beach vibe that inspired the brand.
What started as handmade gifts for family and friends gradually grew into a business. Today we are also present at markets and fairs. From April 2026 you can visit our local shop in Lucerne. Our jewelry is also available online at: shopmelwood.ch
