Mitera GmbH is based in the beautiful old town of Bremgarten AG. "We are a small company that stands out for its expertise and commitment". Mitera specializes in the production and marketing of cold-pressed, DNA-certified premium olive oils. The olives come mainly from millenial-old varieties and giant trees in Crete (GR), Umbria (IT) and Abruzzo (IT).
DNA traceability is not only important for us, it is essential, and has been since 2019. We are proud to be the first and only company in Switzerland to make this possible. We guarantee purity and origin from the field to the end consumer.
Mitera GmbH also plays a key role as a partner in the EU-Horizon project Watson. With this project, we are pursuing a clear goal: the entire production chain must be traceable with the help of new QR- code technology. In this way, we are doing our part to combat food fraud. In addition, our extra vergin olive oils are characterised by their high organoleptic and excellent sensory parameters and have won multiple international awards. Sustainability, the protection of old olive varieties, fair conditions along the production chain and consumer protection are paramount.
