True craftsmanship, worth it; hand-decorated ceramic that speaks of the thousand-year-old Sicilian traditions and magnifies its origins: there is a place where colors create the magic of an object, it is Caltagirone. The town has linked its entire history to ceramics, from prehistory to the present day. Among the artisan companies that carry on the typical artistic tradition of the place there is Siad Ceramiche, which since 1993 has been producing its Caltatina ceramic products entirely hand-crafted and finely decorated with bright colours: cobalt blue, green, orange yellow they harmonize in floral motifs, large scrolls and continuous designs. The company was founded by Vincenzo di Benedetto and Andrea Ardito, who chose to combine their previous experience in the sector. Today, the company produces furnishing accessories, tiles for masonry kitchens, kitchen tops and tables in ceramized lava stone, in particular the indoor/outdoor tables in lava stone, the laboratory's flagship product, are decorated by hand and they are indestructible, resistant to sudden changes and are stain-proof and acid-proof. In fact, the lava stone, which is worked at 920°C for approximately 18 hours, combined with the precious Caltagirone ceramics, constitutes a material with unique characteristics also in terms of hardness (result of the reactions that occur during cooking) and inertia (i.e. insolubility and inalterability in contact with water and with most chemical substances.
